RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling will not attend the Republican Party of Virginia’s 2013 Convention later this month.

Bolling said he is protesting the event because he believes it was set up unfairly.

During the convention, the GOP will select their candidates for governor, lt. governor and attorney general.

Bolling was running for governor before dropping out of the race in March.

He said that a convention, instead of a primary election, favored fellow Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli.
