Powerball jackpot soars to $222 million

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The Powerball jackpot for tonight’s drawing has grown in $222 million. The person who matches all six Powerball numbers can choose whether to get the $222 million spread out over annual payments or in a one-time payment of $144 million.

According to Powerball, your odds of winning the jackpot is 1 in 175,223,510.

In February, a Fredericksburg couple won the $217 million Powerball jackpot. That winning ticket was purchased at Richmond International Airport.
