A student in North Carolina has been offered a college scholarship to a Virginia university, after he accidentally bringing a gun onto school grounds...
Cole Withrow, a high school senior, left a shotgun in his car after a weekend of skeet shooting.
On Monday it was found in his car in the school parking lot.
But the chancellor of Liberty University noticed the Liberty t-shirt Withrow wore on an evening newscast. The chancellor called the student and offered him a scholarship.
Withrow was facing expulsion, but will be allowed to graduate under special circumstances.
His friends are coming together to try to keep him at his original high school.
