Feds search for escaped detainees in Farmville

FARMVILLE, Va. (WTVR) — Federal agents are looking for two men who escaped from a ICE detention center in Farmville on Monday.

One is described as a 36-year-old Belize national, 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

The second escapee is from Mexico and is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Both men were last seen wearing navy blue jumpers. Investigators believe they escaped by hopping a fence and then climbing under a gate.

Police said neither is considered violent and that they were being held on immigration violations.
