State police investigate deadly officer-involved shooting

CULPEPER COUNTY, Va (WTVR) – A suspect is dead after being shot by a Culpeper County Sheriff’s deputy, according to the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office. Lt. Jason Romero said the shooting happened Thursday night at a home in Rapidan.

None of the deputies involved were hurt, according to Romero. Virginia State Police has taken over the investigation.
