(WTVR) -- Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield has become popular throughout social media for his stunning pictures from space and his Youtube videos explaining zero-g life.

In his latest social media submission, Hadfield shows us earth dwellers what it's like to cry in space. While aboard the International Space Station, Hadfield uses drinking water to squirt into his eye in order simulate crying. (He is an astronaut and not an actor after all)

As he describes it, the water bubbles up in your eye and on your face until it either sloshes to the other side of your face or you wipe it off with a towel. Hadfield adds that it even can begin to hurt after a while as the water builds up in your eye.
