RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - The start of the Richmond Flying Squirrels season was put on hold as their game against New Britain was suspended because of rain.  The Squirrels resume Thursday's rain-delayed game on Friday night. The game will pick up from the bottom of the fourth inning.

Also on Thursday night, VCU sharp shooter Troy Daniels won the State Farm College 3-Point Championship and the Pepsi Battle of Champions title. The events were part of the Final Four week in Atlanta.

"It was a lot of fun to come down here and represent VCU among some of the best shooters in the country," Daniels said according to an article posted on Atlantic10.com. "It was awesome to have my family and coaches in the stands cheering me on, just having fun doing what I love to do."
