LYNCHBURG, Va. (WTVR)–Ever since the Virginia Tech shootings, gun policy has been widely debated throughout the state, especially at colleges.

Some have pushed for stricter gun control on college campuses throughout the Commonwealth, while others think colleges  could be made safer if students and faculty members licensed to carry guns were allowed to do so, on campus.

Now, one Virginia university is loosening its gun policy.

The Associated Press reports that the board of trustees at Liberty University has changed the rules, so that firearms will be allowed inside all campus buildings, except for dormitory buildings.

The Christian school’s previous policy allowed guns on campus, but not inside buildings.
