After a cool weekend to close out March, there will be a nice jump in temperatures on Monday.  Highs will reach near 70° in many areas before a cold front passes through during the late afternoon and evening.

Behind this front, much cooler weather will return yet again for the balance of the work-week, with highs staying in the 50s.

We are seeing signs, however, of a major pattern shift in the seven-to-ten-day range of the extended forecast.  Temperatures will jump from the mid 50s on Friday to the low and mid 60s on Saturday.  After that, highs will return to near 70° next Sunday.  The upward trend will continue into the following week with highs climbing through the 70s.  The normal high during this ten-day period ranges from the mid 60s to near 70°.

Barring any changes, we could potentially hit or break 70° from Sunday through Wednesday.

  • The last time we had a three-day stretch of 70°+ days was November 10-12, 2012.
  • The last time we had a four-day stretch of 70°+ days was October 17-20, 2012.
