RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — According to VCU, two victims were held up with a handgun with a laser sight attached in Richmond’s Fan District. They say it happened at about 2:16 a.m. near the intersection of Lombardy and Grove Ave.

Police are looking for two black males wearing all black clothing. A third party was driving the vehicle used to flee the scene.

Police say that two victims were walking down Grove Ave. That’s when they were approached by two suspects. One of the suspects showed the semi-automatic handgun with a laser sight attached.

The suspects told the victims to not move and give up their wallets. After the victims handed over their wallets and and cell phones, two suspects got into a red midsized sedan with another driver. They fled west on Grove ave.

Richmond Police are investigating and patrols are being increased in the area.
