RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- Police are investigating the robbery of a jewelry store at Stony Point Fashion Park. This is the third jewelry store robbery at a local mall within five months.

Police said that shortly after 8 p.m. Monday night a group of three robbers made off with bags of jewelry from Fink's Jewelers at the mall.

Police told CBS 6 News that three men entered the shop, two were armed. They quietly made their demands, with guns displayed.

There were three employees in the building at the time. A few witnesses outside saw the group run off. The group escaped with several bags of jewelry. No one was injured.

Police released descriptions of the three suspects late Tuesday:

  • A black male in his early twenties, 5 feet 7 inches tall, average build, full beard, who was last seen wearing a yellow baseball cap and a waist length coat
  • A black male in his early twenties, 5 feet 7 inches tall, an average build, who was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap and dark colored jacket and pants
  • A black male in his forties, 5 feet 10 inches tall, above average build, who was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap.

Richmond Police have started the process of communication with Henrico Police. Police said they are aware of the recent Henrico robberies.  Those suspects have not been captured or identified. Police have released suspect descriptions.

In the last robbery, in February 2013, three men brandished weapons, made demands, and ran off on foot. They escaped with thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from Littman Jewelers.

The November robbery of Kay Jewelers at Short Pump Mall was also similar. Three robbers fled on foot after demanding jewelry.

The suspect descriptions were different for each one of the West End robberies:
