RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Snow showers will continue to track east through central Virginia this morning as a disturbance swings over our area.  Most areas will only see a dusting to a quarter-inch of snow on the ground, but there will be some of you from Farmville to Crewe (locations which received several bursts of snowfall this morning) who get closer to an inch before melting.

Road reports so far sound like they’re in good shape, as temperatures did not fall below freezing until after sunrise when the snow picked up in earnest. Most temperatures are rising back above freezing at mid-morning.

After these early morning flakes, clouds will break for partly cloudy skies this afternoon.
