RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – VDOT is warning drivers to use caution north of the city as sleet continues to fall across parts of the CBS 6 viewing area.

VDOT said in a news release just before 1 a.m. that a slushy mix has accumulated on roads in Henrico, Hanover and Goochland counties.

Officials said even though surface temperatures are above freezing, sleet has caused a slushy mix on some roads making for slippery conditions.

Watch CBS 6 News this morning starting at 4:30 a.m. for the latest updates on road conditions.
