RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - The Virginia State Police released the final arrangements for the viewing and funeral of slain Virginia State Police Master Trooper Junius A. Walker.

The vigil scheduled for Monday at 7 p.m. will be moved to a later date due to scheduling conflicts.  A new date has not yet been set.

Good Shepherd Baptist will also be the location of the funeral, set for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12th.  The service is open to the public.

The church is located inside what used to be an old K-Mart building, so State Police said the large sanctuary is ideal for the services.  Nearly 1,000 overflow seats will also be available.

State police troopers from as far away as California plan to attend, and mourners are expected to number in the thousands.

Good Shepherd Baptist Church is at 2223 S Crater Road in Petersburg, VA.  There is only one entrance in and out of the church parking lot, so State Police are urging people to arrive early.  Those who do not plan to attend the funeral should avoid the area because traffic is anticipated to be heavy.

Master trooper Junius Walker worked for the Virginia State Police for more than 35 years.

The burial will be private.
