Crews investigate overnight Hanover fire

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Crews responded to a fire early Saturday morning.

Officials received a call at 12:24 a.m. from the 13300 block of Hanover Courthouse Road.

Battalion Chief Larry Snyder, Jr. says the bulk of the fire was contained in one room and extended to the hallway.

The fire was marked under control within 12 minutes.

One cat died as a result of the fire.  A firefighter will be evaluated for minor burns.

The fire is still under investigation.
