RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - Starting tonight you're going to want to avoid 95 through the city. Weekend bridge work is expected to cause major problems for commuters. Crews will reduce 95 to one lane starting tonight at 8pm. This work is continuous and will have lanes closed through Monday at 6am.

Those closures take place between Belvidere (mile marker 76) and Boulevard (mile marker 78). Workers will be replacing the bridge over Overbrook Road. State Police will be monitoring traffic during this 60 hour project. Troopers are reminding drivers to " Stay alert, obey the speed limit, and drive distraction free."

There will be posted detours on the secondaries and off ramps to get you around the area of Robin Hood and Overbrook. Please pay attention to message boards in the area and respect the move over law.

You can use 288, 295 or the Downtown Expressway (195) to get around delays. Find out all the detours for your area by watching my traffic forecast above.
