Rosa Parks statue unveiled at U.S. Capitol

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTVR) - The first full length statue of an African American to adorn the U.S. Capitol was unveiled in Washington, D.C..

Rosa Parks was honored for her actions that helped ignite the modern civil rights movement. Parks made history in 1955 when she refused to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama.
