STANWOOD, Wash. (KIRO) — Police say a resident at a Washington nursing home shot the director of the facility because he felt bullied.

KIRO-TV reports 87-year-old Arthur Hames  walked into Roger Holbrook’s office Tuesday and said, “I have something for you,” produced a small handgun and fired it twice, according to cause documents.

The 59-year-old director was shot once in the stomach at the Josephine Sunset Home in Stanwood.

The victim was flown to the hospital, where he has since been released.

Hames, who told police he had been bullied by the director for months, was arrested on  first-degree assault charges.

A police report said Hames told detectives that he shot Holbrook with the intention of killing him and then committing suicide.
