Assault rifle, drugs and cash seized from home

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WTVR) – Ten pounds of marijuana, an AR-15 Assault Rifle and $5,000 cash were recently seized from a Colonial Heights home.

Police found the items after they executed a search warrant at a home in the 400 block of Dupuy Ave. on Jan. 25, according to an email from Colonial Heights police.

Police arrested two men in connection with the case.

Broderick Custis, 24, and Charlton Oliver, 21, are charged with:

  • Possession with the intent to sell over five pounds of marijuana
  • Possession of marijuana with the intent to sell within 1000 feet of a school
  • Possession of a firearm while attempting to sell a controlled substance
  • Conspiracy to possess a firearm while attempting to sell a controlled substance

Both men are now free on a $10,000 bond. Police are seeking a 21-year-old Maryland man in connection with the crimes.
