(CNN) – A South Florida newspaper and ESPN reported earlier this week that New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez used performance-enhancing drugs.

The Miami New Times published a story on Tuesday saying Rodriguez along with a dozen more professional baseball players were named in records by the Biogenesis clinic.

ESPN.com published a story on Friday quoting unidentified sources describing how the operator of the clinic allegedly would go to Rodriguez’s mansion when summoned, and inject the star player with performance-enhancing drugs.

A spokesman for Rodriguez said,”In regards to the new allegations made in today’s ESPN Outside the Lines story, we can say that they are not true.”

Rodriguez,37, who has admitted in the past to using performance-enhancing drugs has also denied taking any after 2003.

The Major League Baseball is currently investigating the allegations.
