RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - A funeral was held today at the University of Richmond for former Virginia Supreme Court Justice Harry Carrico.

Nearly 400 people filed inside Cannon Memorial Chapel to honor Carrico, including family, friends and colleagues.  Even nationally renown novelist David Baldacci shared words of remembrance for Carrico.

Justice Carrico served as a Virginia Supreme Court Justice for more than 40 years and was Chief Justice for 22 years. He passed away Sunday morning at VCU Medical Center.
