CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WTVR) - Police questioned a man who brought a loaded semi-automatic rifle into a Kroger grocery store, according to a report on newsplex.com.

Charlottesville Police said it appeared the man brought the gun into the store at the intersection of Emmet Street and Hydraulic Road on Sunday as a demonstration of his Second Amendment rights.

“It does elevate the concern of moms and dads, parents that are in there with their children while they are shopping,” Charlottesville Police Lt. Ronnie Roberts told newsplex. “It also concerns us that the individual would take that type of approach.”

The man, 22, did not break any laws - so police released him after they made sure the gun was legally his. Kroger managers have since banned the man from their property.
