MIAMI — Two large passenger jets collided on the ground near the gates at Miami International Airport.
The Miami Herald reported the collision happened late Thursday night. One jumbo jet had a damaged wingtip and the other had damage on its tail section.
The Herald reports an incoming Aerolineas Argentinas Airbus with 240 passengers on board hit an Air France Boeing 777-300 that was preparing to leave for Paris. It had 350 passengers on board.
Nobody was hurt.
The passengers on the flight arriving from Argentina were allowed to get off the plane at the gate. The passengers going to Paris had to pick up their luggage and wait in long lines to make arrangements to get on other flights.
