Storm power outages and numbers to report outages

The winter storm event on January 17 follows more than three days of weather which brought the greater Richmond area more than two inches of rain. By 9:30 p.m., about two inches of snow had fallen, more in some areas.

Power outages rise as more snow accumulates, all heightened by heavy wet snow.

As of 10 p.m., Jan. 17, Dominion reports 14,830 outages in Virginia. To report an outage, call 1-866-DOM-HELP. Also follow on Twitter and Facebook.

Appalachian Power Company reports 82,008 outages, with the most outages in Roanoke County. To report an outage, click here: https://appalachianpower.com/outages/report/

Central Virginia Electric Cooperative reports about 1,000 outages. To report an outage call CVEC at 800-367-2832.

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative reports 3,100 outages. They ask that anytime your power is out to call 1-800-552-390
