PRINCE GEORGE, Va. (WTVR) — Virginia’s newest million dollar winner is retired Staff Sergeant Keith Copeland of Prince George.

Copeland won $1 million after buying a Powerball ticket from the Salem Market and matching five of the six numbers for last Saturday’s drawing.

Copeland told CBS 6 senior reporter Wayne Covil that he plays Powerball every week and won several smaller prizes in recent weeks.

Copeland also said he plans to invest some of the money and buy his wife a new Volvo convertible.
