Former Spider coach spent last year as assistant at James Madison.

ETTRICK – Latrell Scott will be introduced as the new head football coach at Virginia State Monday morning, sources have told CBS 6 Sports. He will replace Andrew Faison who was re-assigned by the university after 10 seasons guiding the Trojans.

Scott was head coach for one season at Richmond, resigning in 2011 following a DUI charge.

CBS 6 Sports incorrectly reported Friday night that Scott was fired from UR. We regret the error.

Scott spent last year as an assistant at James Madison, and has also coached at Tennessee and Virginia, VMI and Western Carolina.

The former Lee-Davis standout was a star tight end at Hampton University.

He will be formally introduced as head coach of the Trojans 11am Monday on the VSU campus.
