Virginia Beach, VA (WTVR) – A Virginia university is warning students to be on the lookout for coyotes.

Regent University in Virginia Beach sent out an e-mail alert to staff and students after coyotes were spotted in a wooded area, near a student apartment complex.

The alert warns students to be cautious when walking in the area, especially after sundown.

Wildlife experts say coyote sightings aren’t uncommon. They also say they’re not likely to attack humans.

But as with any wild animal, you should not approach them.
