POWDERSVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – A Good Samaritan helped save a South Carolina boy after he heard the child's mother screaming that her son was not breathing.
Eleven-year-old Teigue Winge, who goes by the nickname Tiger, was having trouble breathing, so his mother decided to drive him to the hospital. When her son's condition worsened, she pulled off to the side of the road and yelled for help.
Dr. Amir Yazdan, a doctor from California, happened to be driving in the area when he heard the commotion and pulled over.
"It wasn't an option for me to let this kid go," Yazdan said. "I was just doing everything I could."
Yazdan gave Tiger CPR until an ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital.
The boy said he had no clue what had happened when he opened his eyes.
"Then when I woke up, I was in the hospital, everything was blurry and all I could think of was, who are you, where am I – and What is stuck on my arm?" said Teigue Winge.
Tiger said he is thankful Dr. Yazdan happened to be in the area.
