NEWTON, Mass. – Massachusetts police responding to reports of teenagers tossing eggs at a house were surprised to find off-duty cops were responsible for the prank.

The MetroWest Daily Newsreports the three people responsible for egging a house in Framingham, Mass. on Dec. 11 were fellow officers that serve with the Newton Police Department.

The officers were off-duty at the time.

The off-duty officers told Framingham police they were egging the home as a “prank.” The homeowner is a Newton police sergeant and their superior officer.

He told the paper he is “handling the matter internally.”

No charges were filed against the officers.
