The songstress known for such hits as “How Much is that Doggie in the Window” and “Tennessee Waltz” has died.

Patti Page passed away on New Years Day in Encintas, California.

She was 85-years-old. Page had stars on both the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Country Walk of Fame.

But the Grammy-winning singer was to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Recording Academy next month.

Throughout her career, she recorded 50 albums with 19 gold and 14 platinum singles. Tennessee later adopted the “Tennessee Waltz,” as an official state song and the singer was so popular that she had her own TV shows on CBS, NBC and ABC in the 50s and 60s.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
