RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – For you New Year’s Eve revelers celebrating outdoors around Midnight tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies, a southwest breeze, and seasonally cold temperatures. At the stroke of Midnight in Richmond, the temperature will be about 41 degrees. Any breeze, though, would make it feel several degrees colder than it actually is with the wind chill.

My advice is to have on multiple layers of warm clothing, making sure to also completely cover your head, ears and neck (where the majority of your body heat escapes). By early New Year’s morning, temperatures will have fallen into the mid-30s in the Metro.
