RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Every time the Redskins set foot on a Richmond training field,  dedicated fan Irene Terry plans to be watching.

"I just can't wait for them, I can't wait. I will be there every time," Terry said.

She will be watching like she was Sunday night as the Redskins earned their ticket to the playoffs.

"I was just cheering and cheering and cheering, I just knew we were going to win,” she said.

The victory is a win-win.

A better season ending for the Redskins will likely mean more interest in their training camp. That means more tourism dollars spent in Richmond.

"Everybody loves a winner,” said Richmond Councilman Chris Hilbert.

Hilbert claims the fast tracked plan to get the Richmond facilities Redskins-ready will break ground within the next month and is set to be completed in time for the team’s July arrival.

"I can't wait, I hope I'm going to see them walking down the street,” said Redskins fan Holly Murray.

Hilbert believes the arrival of RG3 and his long practice hours will be sure to draw crowds.

"He sets that work ethic and I think that's great for kids to see,” Hilbert said.

A winning team on their way to Richmond. It means a memorable season and upcoming summer for fans.

"For Richmond the timing couldn't have been better," said Murray.
