Petersburg shooting sends man to hospital

PETERSBURG, Va. (WTVR) – A shooting Thursday afternoon has sent a man to the hospital.

Police said a man was shot in the leg around 3 p.m. in the 800 block of Rome Street.

The victim was flown to VCU Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Police have not yet released information on a suspect or a motive for the shooting.
