CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) — The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of an inmate.
Officials said 22-year old Adrianne Nicole Prince was found unconscious in her cell Wednesday around 11:15 p.m. at the Chesterfield County Jail.
The sheriff’s office said EMS crews took Prince to Chippenham Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 12:36 a.m.
Prince had been arrested on two counts of child abuse on Christmas Eve and for assaulting a police officer.
Officials said an autopsy has been requested.
