Huguenot Bridge work continues this week

RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - Work along the Huguenot Bridge will continue this week. If you use the bridge during daytime or nighttime hours you could be effected. Drivers should expect delays of up to 15 minutes on either side of the bridge during the day.

Crews will be erecting a structural steel piece overnight through Friday. Traffic could be stopped for up to 45 minutes in the evening hours. Avoid the area Thursday and Friday between the hours of 10pm and 5am.

To avoid delays, drivers are encouraged to use the following alternate routes:
• Northbound Huguenot Road - Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) north over the Willey Bridge to River Road east to Huguenot Road or use Powhite Parkway (toll) east into Richmond
• Southbound Huguenot Road – River Road west to Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) south to Huguenot Road
