Funeral arrangements set for Amelia teen killed in crash

AMELIA COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Funeral arrangements are set for the Amelia County teen killed in a weekend car crash.

Shelby King, 18, was killed when her car ran off Route 604 north of Howard Road in Amelia Sunday evening. The cause of the crash was under investigation, according to Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Molnar.

The King family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.  to 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the Chesterfield Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 14301 Ashbrook Parkway, according to an obituary posted on the Bennett Funeral Home website. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Chesterfield Baptist Church, 16520 Hull Street Road.
