Amelia County crash

AMELIA COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A teenager was killed in a single-car crash Sunday evening in Amelia County, according to Virginia State Police Sgt. Thomas Molnar.  Shelby A. King, 18, was wearing her seat belt when her 1997 Saturn ran off Route 604 north of Howard Road.

The International Bluegrass Music Association reported King is the daughter of Bluegrass artist James King.

The crash happened around 5:00 p.m., Molnar wrote in an email. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
