GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- Court documents are shedding light on the violent relationship between a Goochland schoolteacher and her estranged boyfriend.

CBS 6 News obtained the arrest record of Uriah Harris, the man accused of beating a teacher in the Goochland Middle School parking lot Wednesday morning.

The warrant said Harris was armed with a knife and that he violated a protective order in place to protect the victim.

Court documents show also reveal Harris had been living with the victim for three years, but that a three-day emergency protective order was issued after the victim told police in November that she feared for her life.

At the time, Harris was charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor involving the victim.

Goochland Deputy Commonwealths Attorney Mike Caudall said the couple were slated to appear in court Wednesday to have the protective order extended.

In fact, a preliminary protective order issued on Nov. 20 also required Harris to not have any contact with the victim.

If convicted of violating the preliminary protective order, Harris could face 5 years in jail. Additionally, Caudall said that if Harris is convicted in Wednesday's malicious wounding, a Class 2 Felony, he could face up to life in prison.

In court Thursday afternoon, Harris was ordered held without bond and given a court appointed attorney.

Harris had been out on a $1500 bond on the three Henrico County charges from November, but a motion will be heard  Friday in Henrico County to revoke that bond.
