Police release identity of pedestrian killed on Hopkins Road

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Police have released the identity of the man who was hit by two vehicles on Tuesday at the 6200 of Hopkins Road around 4 p.m.

They say 20-year-old Christopher R. Coleman was hit by a Pontiac and a brown truck on Hopkins Road.  The truck hit Coleman and drove away, while the driver of the Pontiac stayed on scene.

Authorities say Coleman was pronounced dead on scene.  No other injuries were reported.

No charges have been filed regarding this incident.  Police are still investigating what happened and are looking for the driver who fled the scene.
