What’s in the air around you can affect your body, even before you are born.

Researchers at the University of Southern California say exposure to traffic related air pollution can have an impact on a baby while they are still in the womb and up to a year after birth.

The study looked at more than 500 children and found kids exposed to the highest levels of air pollution were three times more likely to develop autism. That’s compared to kids who weren’t exposed at all.
