RICHMOND (WTVR) – Richmond City Council members approved a $10 million dollar plan on Monday to improve Main Street Station.

The agreement between the City of Richmond and the Federal Transit Administration is expected to maximize rail service and increase transportation options offered at the station, making way for zip cars, bike stations, and scooters.

The deal would finish off the last of a three-phased project at Main Street to be completed in 2014.
