DALE CITY, Va. (WTVR) – It was a rough start to the Thanksgiving travel season for passengers aboard a Richmond-based Greyhound bus. The bus stopped in Northern Virginia after a passenger started to scream threats from a locked bathroom, Greyhound spokeswoman Maureen Richmond said.

The bus driver pulled over on I-95 and called police. Police removed the passenger from the bathroom and arrested him, Richmond said.

David A. Servais, 23, of Millville, N.J., was charged with threatening to bomb a mode of transportation; abduction by force; drunk in public; possession of synthetic cannabinoids (spice); and fugitive from justice, according to Virginia State Police. He is being held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center.

Passengers were able to continue on to New York City after a delay. The investigation closed lanes in Northern Virginia for two hours Wednesday morning.
