(WTVR) –  If you’re tired of only finding paper toys and stickers in your Cracker Jack’s, a new variety of the classic snack offers an extra dose of caffeine instead.

According to CBS News, Frito Lay is set to release a version of Cracker Jack’s with an extra surprise inside, caffeine.

The product called, “Cracker Jack’D Cocoa Java Power Bites” hasn’t even come

out yet, but a consumer watchdog is already criticizing the snack food. The Center for Science in the Public Interest says it’s a violation of an Food and Drug Administration law and the FDA doesn’t have any caffeine standards for snack foods.

CSPI executive director Michael F. Jacobson said in a statement, “How soon before we have caffeinated burgers, burritos or breakfast cereals?”

The consumer advocacy group also says they fear children and pregnant women could be unknowingly at risk.

This comes just after the FDA has blamed numerous deaths on caffeinated beverages such as “5-hour Energy” and “Monster.”

A Frito Lay spokesperson told The Boston Globe that they expect the product to contain about 70 milligrams for every 2-ounce serving. For reference the average cup of coffee has 95 to 200 milligrams of caffeine for an 8-ounce serving.

The spokesperson also said that it is developed for adult consumers and it will not be marketed to children. Even the package will be different from the original Cracker Jack to ensure there is no confusion.
