RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The Washington Redskins will refurbish high school football field in Richmond as part of its deal with the city, a team source told CBS 6 reporter Angela Pellerano.

“Yes. Absolutely true,” the source told Pellerano. “But to clarify – there will be selected schools over time. Not all of them and not all at once.”

The agreement, which has yet to be announced, was mentioned in a Tuesday morning email from Richmond lawyer and City Hall observer Paul Goldman.

“I was told it is a done deal, but not yet announced. My source said Bruce Allen, the Redskins GM, has signed on,” Goldman wrote in an email sent to Richmond media outlets. “This is good news if true: it suggests some of us have been effective in convincing folks to see the big picture.”
