Man with dementia found safe after 5 days missing

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Richmond Police said that Otis Holmes has been found safe. Details will be released soon.

The police released a new photo Wednesday of a man that went missing last week who suffers from dementia.

Otis L. Holmes, 48, of Chamberlayne Avenue, was last seen Friday afternoon near Meadow and West Main streets, police said.

Police described Holmes as a black male with gray hair, approximately 5’5” tall and weighing about 170 pounds. His family calls him by the nickname of “Blackie,” police added.
