School bus driver dies taking students to school

CULPEPER, Va. (WTVR) – A school bus driver died while taking students to school this morning in Culpeper, according to an email from Culpeper Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Corey Byers.

Byers said the 70-year-old driver suffered a “health-related issue” while taking students to Eastern View High School around 6:50 a.m.

The bus ran off the side of Kirtley Trail. No students were injured, Byers said.

The driver’s name has not been released.
