SAN FRANCISCO, Ca. (KGO) – One California woman is still going to work at the polls at the age of 96.

When she showed up for the elections on Tuesday, Elisa Kennedy became the oldest poll worker in the country. She’s been greeting voters at the polls for every election since 1949, when Harry Truman was president.

Kennedy says when she started working at the polls that she made only $13 a day.

Kennedy will be 100 when the next election rolls around, but she still plans to work at the polls.
