WEATHER: Zach’s snowfall forecast for Central Virginia

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – I don’t expect much from the nor’easter that will move up the east coast, but a minor accumulation of snow can’t be ruled out across parts of northern and northeastern VA, including the Northern Neck.

Light rain and flurries will be possible farther south and west across parts of central Virginia.

The graphic below indicates what I expect to see from this system.  Surface temps a little above freezing and a lack of lift/moisture will preclude any significant snowfall totals in the state.
