Toyota gets high rankings in ‘Most Reliable Car’ survey

(CNN) – Toyota tops Consumer Reports’ latest reliability ranking. The automaker’s three brands, Scion, Toyota and Lexus lead the 28 brands in the running for the top honors.

Japanese brands hold the top seven spots in the 2012 rating. Ford came in a disappointing 27th.

Just two years ago, the automaker was considered the epitome of reliability.

Problems with new and revamped Ford models as well as a flawed electronic infotainment system tanked Ford’s rating.
