RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Tom Jewell from Dominion Power said power crews need to be careful when fixing power lines. He said high winds can make repairing electric poles difficult.

Jewell said the call on whether or not it’s safe to fix power lines is made on the ground by the crew that reports to the scene.

He also told CBS 6 the power situation as of Monday afternoon for the Commonwealth.
